COURSE:
The Parkersburg Half Marathon isn't run on the typical West Virginia course that features long, steep hills. With Parkersburg's location on the West Virginia-Ohio border, the terrain bears closer resemblance to the land in southeastern Ohio. While the course includes a few hills, the inclines are gradual and short in distance.

The race begins in downtown Parkersburg. The rolling course will then take you out of the city and into the scenic surroundings of West Virginia before looping back into the commercial area. You will finish the race to the cheers of thousands of spectators lined up on Market Street prior to the Parkersburg Homecoming Festival Parade.

TEAM COMPETITION:
For more information, or to obtain a team application, call (304) 424-2786 or write: P.O. Box 718; Parkersburg, WV 26102-0718. Deadline for the team applications is August 2. There will be no exceptions.
